08 Healthcare & HIPAA Notice

Silverminds LLC provides interpretation and language access services to healthcare organizations, including hospitals, clinics, telehealth platforms, and other covered entities and business associates under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA").

When we serve healthcare clients, we may act as a Business Associate as defined under HIPAA. In that capacity, we enter into Business Associate Agreements ("BAAs") with covered entities, which govern how Protected Health Information ("PHI") is handled, used, and disclosed. Our handling of PHI in that context is governed by those agreements and applicable HIPAA regulations — not solely by this general Privacy Policy.

Important This general website Privacy Policy does not govern the handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) obtained in the course of providing interpretation services. Such data is handled exclusively pursuant to our executed Business Associate Agreements and HIPAA-mandated safeguards.
